Our Institute was established in 1962 by Late Balbhadra Narayan Verma. The Institute is purely private and recognized by the Department of Education, Government of Bihar, under letter no. 140103-5 dated 19.11.1971 for typewriting and shorthand in English and Hindi.

In response to persistent demand from students and the needs of the time, a computer course was added to the curriculum under the patronage of Shail Kumari Commercial Institute, under the name S.K. Computers.

The then principal of the Institute informed the Department of Education, Government of Bihar, about the computer course under letter no. 3/2004 dated 09.04.2004. The course is run under the caption S.K. Computers under the patronage of the Shail Kumari Commercial Institute, which was registered under the Trust Act 1882 on 26.04.2013 with registration no. 64.
